To feel really sad that I can't find a way to talk to my dh about his almost total loss of libido.

Have name changed for obvious reasons. Yoni, naice ham etc etc...

Has anyone ever approached this subject successfully with their partner? If so how did you go about it?

Stress/tiredness/depression all have a negative effect on libido. Also, I know he is on board with wanting another child but your post makes it pretty obvious it's his sperm you are after. Not a nice feeling for a man.

are you putting pressure on him for sex.

Sunnymeg could be right about diabetes. My dh had the same problem so got him to go to the doctor and it did turn out he was diabetic. The 'loss of libido' wasn't because he didn't want to have sex, but because he was embarrassed/worried that he couldn't always manage it so he pretended he wasn't keen.

Having a similar issue myself OP...I have a very high libido so it's really affecting me. OH seemingly has no reason to be any more tired than I am...we have very similar jobs for the same employer and no DCs yet but expecting our first.

I'm quite interested in the health aspects myself. OH has piled on quite a significant amount of weight recently and has gotten very lazy. His lack of desire has pretty much directly correlated. I'm quite a big girl, but have always been so my libido has been quite steady. Someone mentioned diabetes earlier...is there a big connection between diabetes and libido? OH has it running in his family.

I've tried talking to him about it. He's happy talking but nothing improves after. He absolutely will not agree that it may be medical. Therefore refuses to go to the doctors. No idea where to turn next. Confused

Well the diabetes affects the blood flow making an erection difficult to achieve, which results in a loss of confidence and a reluctance to even try, if that makes sense!
