To Wonder How Kerry Katona Has Such an Amazing House?

Seriously she can't be that wealthy? Shes bankrupt and appears on This Morning occassionally as well as has a column in OK? I'm confused and starting to think I'm definitely in the wrong job :(

Aw I like Kerry. She's paid back more than she originally owed because of fees, she was just too trusting and put her finances in the hands of dodgy men. She had a horrific upbringing as well.

I thought Cilla was a massive bitch to her, actually. When she realised it was Kerry and she would be in the studio she still made the comment about her being made bankrupt twice.

I really hate Cilla Black.

I have huge sympathy for her. When I read an interview with her a few years ago and learned about her childhood I felt so sad for her. She has had the most unbelivably difficult start in life.

She rents them. I loved the one she had in Godstone (with the Duck Pond). Apparently that was £4,500pcm. Oh and her Managers paid it didn't they?

I don't believe that article re the trustee. From what I understand, she wouldn't co operate & hence made the situation worse. Plus you pay nil tax for the rest of the financial year in which you are made bankrupt & after that putting aside your portion of tax for "the taxman" would be an allowable expense, just like rent on the sort of house she needs to earn money from photo shoots etc.

Oh I know that house I think. On the road up to Haigh Hall from the A49 . Is lovely round there.

Ex lives round there ish and we often go walking round Haigh Hall.

Me too, LeGav. She has been abused and exploited all her life. People are still taking the piss and making mega bucks from her. There was a comment on another thread about how lovely her eldest 2 seem to be. Well she must be doing something right.

Exactly. She came from a rough background with a ghastly mother who gave her speed and all sorts when she was a teen. Now she has another ropey boyfriend who hasn't a job and who she 'employs' as a driver. She has just been exploited at every turn. Nobody seems to have her best interests at heart.

That Guardian article is complete nonsense. There is no way the trustee in bankruptcy would not have allowed her to set money aside for future tax bills - in fact he/she would have insisted that she do so. The journalist should have done some basic research into bankruptcy.

Such scorn for a victim of child abuse who was never fully protected from her abuser even after being placed as an at risk child,went on to be a care leaver marry an adulter then after a divorce end up as a victim of domestic violence. Someone whose own family routinely set up occurrences where she can fuck up and be filmed then exploited for no reason other than there own financial gain.

Ohhhh wait a sec she's a celeb she's previously had money so that makes all of the above ok and her less deserving of compassion or support than anyone else so lets point and laugh at her.

I don't think anyone was really publicly scorning her so much as wondering how anyone who has been bankrupt twice can be in possession of such a house whilst jovially laughing about paying the heating bills for it.

From what I see of the thread people are condemning "our cilla" for her vileness towards her and wondering how she manages to keep it/afford it but the linked article has explained much of it and is a very interesting (and sad) read. Being a victim of past abuse doesn't make someone immune from questioning about other aspects of their lives if they choose to live in the public eye.

I didn't watch Through the Keyhole. Can't abide Keith Lemon! . Re Kerry. I thought she was silly to leave Claire's management. She just seemed to be getting her shit together with her. Ask for her Mum! To be sat in front of cameras and telling your daughter you don't think the house she's bought you was good enough?! Just argh!

sock I didn't realise she was an abuse victim, don't know how i have missed that.

However, she has made choices that have then had impacts on her own childrens lives. That last guy she was with was a horror. I remember her reality show and she and the guy were both screaming at her kids. She trusted him with all her money...why?! And then after that lesson she then meets another guy soon after and it starts all over again.

When Kerry was first on the scene she was lovely, always smiling and sweet. Then I think when she left the band she just changed into some loud mouth and then she went down the path of trying to find a partner and every one has been a bad choice.

But what is really annoying is that she was the face of a payday lending company and in reality was facing bankruptcy for the second time!!

Same with Katie Price. They put their men over everything.

DrHolmes, I do understand what you mean but honestlyif you read about her early life and teenage years you will be beyond shocked. It completely changed how I veiwed her. Poor woman.

Lila - ok I have just read the Guardian article and I can see she has had a hell of a start to life. It really must have been terrible but surely she knew some of her choices were wrong? She married her mothers drug dealer...come on! She was taking coke with her kids in the house.

Someone upthread said she bought her mother a house... why did she do that if she had been so abusive and tried to sell her to men for sex?

She's with this new guy 10 months and is engaged already. Why can she not just relax a bit, it's not all about being married. I feel like she is still trying to compete with Brian instead of just moving on and finding true happiness for herslf.
If the part where she says Brian doesn't pay her a penny for the kids because of her bad mouthing him well that is just shit on his part but can't she go through CSA?

I want to like her, but I am struggling!

I have alot of sympathy for Kerry. She is still only 32 and has certainty lived.

However, I think what grates with me is that one minute she is going bankrupt, the next is on a programme showing a £3 million house, and saying how cheap it is. I appreciate that she makes her money by being on tv, but somehow the two don't tally.

her houses are probably the reason she is always going bankrupt every other week I think that one will be borrowed rented from somebody in the biz,she just spends money like water

Brian isn't British, doesn't live in the UK, so CSA aren't an option.

As for her mum, Kerry is desperate for her approval, her love (or has been in the past)She is a woman who has only ever known abuse, mistrust and lies. Her actions are all based on what she knows of relationships and life - it is terribly sad.

I don't think she should be cannonised but she shouldn't be villainised either (sure that's a word, spell check says not) now I've stared at it too much and it may as well be Greek

I think anyone with half a brain should have known it was not a good idea marrying your abusive mothers drug dealer.

She has never been afraid to say what she thinks, she actually always comes across as being strong.

Is she paying for her wedding? Her new bloke doesnt seem like a great choice either, just got out of prison 2 years ago. Great Kerry, what a catch!

She could actually move into just a "normal" house for less than 3k a month. You know? Somewhere without a swimming pool and revolving bed.
