They ought to have a long expiry date?

Well they did I suppose. 21st October though the ones I bought will not be needing to worry about that

What the Christmas-jingle-hell is this about? We're supposed to be holding Xmas soirees mid-October before I get the Halloween decorations out? They were in Christmassy themed box as well so I think a minimum expiry date of 26th December should apply.

I may need a Brew and a sit down with a mince pie

Do you think I should start an online petition against it all?

Horry the chocolate advent calendars do run out often actually, especially if you want a particular one.

And by buying early I've been able to get everyone far better presents than I could get for the same amount of money in December.

But Christmas doesn't officially start until the boots catalogue comes out so it's too early for mince pies.

The Lakelamd Limited catalogue heralds the official start of Christmas shopping.

And the first time I hear The Pogues "Fairytale of New York" heralds Christmas Grin

'tis official

The Heston Pine Sugar was exactly like toilet cleaner! But somehow perversely, I loved it Grin

It was in an Asda that I found my ex mincepies yesterday.

I'm beginning to think the reason for them to be out so early is so that we can taste test them to assure ourselves of having the best mince pies on Xmas day. In this spirit I shall buy more to scoff test them out.

Maybe the box is Christmassy in order to help get in the spirit of things and help bring memory-notes of mulled wine, brandy cream etc into the tasting process. Or maybe I should crack open the mulled wine bottle left over from last year to assist...
