...to not want to kiss my husband when he refuses to shave off his moustache?

Honestly, you'd think I'd asked him to cut his balls off. Over nine years this has been a continual area of disagreement, with him sometimes not having one, then going back to it as if I'm a terrible person who threatens his individuality and should just put up with the horrible thing in my face every so often.

Would anyone agree that me refusing to shave my legs unless I feel like it (practically never) would be a suitable retort; or is this just petulant and childish? Grin

Dh grew a full beard and then shaved it into a moustache before going out drinking one November.
I stayed home and went to bed early as was very PG.
Dh returned in the wee small hours, I woke up an needed the loo. I walked past te stairs just as he was coming up them, I saw the moustache and screamed! Shock
I had totally forgotten about it and I thought he was a moustachioed axe murderer! Shock Blush Confused

I was so upset I made him shave it off before he got into our bed! :)

So no, YADNBU!

Morgause · 16/02/2014 08:35

If my DH shaved off his 'tache and beard it would be a case of LTB. he does moisturise them, though, so they aren't bristly.

Boaty · 16/02/2014 10:49

Does he sleep soundly?? If so, a 'accident' with a razor overnight? Wink I always threatened to do that to DH...he is clean shaven...Grin

bluebeanie · 16/02/2014 16:44

I hate my dh's weekend stubble. He refused to shave it for me. A few weeks ago he went to kiss happy smiley 19 week dd. She screamed in pain. Now he shaves every day...Wink

Personally, YANBU.

Oh SuddenGeekGirl, that actually made me laugh out loud in the middle of a weep. Thank you.

I would have the opposite problem - loved exdp's facial hair, and when he shaved it unnerved me. It would take me quite some time to get used to him, he seriously felt like a stranger and I would be freaked out at him touching me!

I've heard you always prefer your partner with the facial hair you met him/fell in love with him with, but he was clean shaven when first went out...

WitchWay · 16/02/2014 16:59

I like full (neat) beards but not moustaches by themselves or goatees or other facial topiary.

ComposHat · 16/02/2014 17:12

Very few men look better with a moustache, Omar Sharif is the only one who springs to mind. Goattess are even harder to get right. It generally screams 'David Brent'

This probably makes me a lousy hypocrite, but i am sporting a pair of bus driver from the 1970s style mutton chops.

KungFuBustle · 16/02/2014 17:17

Oooh. Love a good beard and tache! DH looks smoking with his ginger beard.

You don't know what you're missing.

TattyDevine · 16/02/2014 17:19

Most mo's look a bit pedo

And its like kissing a fracking cactus.

Would you refuse a bit of the old CUNNILINGUS (I love that word) or are you a hypocrite? Grin

Tell him to get rid but I guess its his choice!

I once dated a guy who was completely shaved head and face and then he started growing it all and looked like a caveman. I had to dump him and he kept sending me flowers and shit for a year after. It was weird.

BlueStones · 16/02/2014 17:21

Moustaches are hideous. Stubble, goatees and full beards are fine, but there's something about moustaches that actively, genuinely repulses me. I don't even like the current fashion for moustache images on clothes/mugs/etc.

BlueStones · 16/02/2014 17:22

They really do, Tatty! I thought it was just me who thought that. Yuck.

SauvignonBlanche · 16/02/2014 17:23

Neither DD or I will kiss DH until he shaves.

WitchWay · 16/02/2014 17:43

I never think "paedo" when I see a mo, but I do think "gay" as in "YMCA"

Grin

Agree only Omar Sharif suits one (phwooar)

KissesBreakingWave · 16/02/2014 19:41

Astounded at the number of women who want the man in their life to look like a beardless youth.

KungFuBustle · 16/02/2014 19:45

Grin Kisses.

I have been thinking along those same lines myself.

bruffin · 16/02/2014 19:54

Dh always had a tache until 2 years ago when he got a new job and would have had to wear a face mask, so heshaved it off. It was nearly 30 years old i think.
Did look very odd to me for a few weeks but am mow used to it.
