Reading a story about Kate, Will & baby in USA today

www.usatoday.com/story/life/people/2013/09/06/will-kate-and-baby-george-defied-royal-wishes-after-birth-author-says/2777113/

'Will and Kate were eager to do most of the baby care themselves, Nicholl says. They even opted against bringing in a maternity nurse, which most new parents in Britain get through the National Health Service.'

WTAF?!? Am I the only one who didn't get one Confused What will Americans think of us if they believe that!!

If a maternity nurse is a midwife, that means they opted against having a midwife? Confused

Although actually, that possibly is correct if she was under care of ob/gyn consultant, rather than a common or garden midwife? Grin
