To want my final wages when I was told I would have them?!?

Was made redundant from my nannying job - was promised my last pay would be in my account today (1st of the month was my usual pay date)& it's not. I've tried calling 6 times & text 3 times asking where it is as I need it (bills come out tomorrow) I've had no response.

Starting to think I'm not going to get it - small claims court is calling I think

Stressing now as have no money Sad

Why can't people pay up when they say they will??AngryAngryAngryAngry

Aibu by calling & texting asking for my money?

Would it be unreasonable to knock on the door & ask for it?

I totally agree

To be honest I don't really care what her pathetic excuses are I just want my money that I'm owed

Accommodation and childcare shoukd be families' top financial priorities. It's a pity for you that you've already provided what she owes you for and can't take it back, though that's why she's economising on you and not putting her fuel on the credit card, which she'd have to if she still needed you!

Small claims court, plus late fee charges!

I agree with RenterNomad.

You should send her a text or email ASAP and say that unless the money is received by 5pm today you will have no choice but to start small claims court proceedings.

It's sounds like you need someone to check out your contract, to ensure you were given due notice, that it included the statutory 5.6 weeks holiday pay and that your redundancy was calculated correctly. Citizens advice or free half hour with employment solicitor!

Thanks all
