Fucking chocolate snowmen for Christmas! Wtf? It isn't even September yet!

I saw that Mamas and Papas are selling their My First Christmas stuff already in the store! Its on your face when you walk in.

I dont need reminding about Christmas just yet as its birthday season now!

Co-op is expensive!

Its 2 minutes away from me though so prefer to go there.

I hate seeing Christmas stuff out before the end of November.

Primark have christmas jumpers out too

SPBisResisting · 31/08/2013 21:43

Disgusting! Were they cheap? If so I will help by emptying the shelves

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 31/08/2013 21:43

Our co op yesterday had chocolate mousse snowmen, mince pies and boxes of shortbread amongst other Xmas stock. Yanbu. I couldn't believe it!

Peachyjustpeachy · 31/08/2013 21:47

I bought a bauble for my Christmas tree on Thursday......I do have an excuse I was on holiday!

SoleSource · 31/08/2013 21:47

I've caved and put my Christmas tree up.

AcrylicPlexiglass · 31/08/2013 21:52

londone17 · 31/08/2013 21:54

I've almost done my Christmas shopping including food.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 31/08/2013 22:00

YASNBFU! Cunting Christmas!

Weegiemum · 31/08/2013 22:02

I bought my first Christmas present of the year in July. But as it was for dh who is a nightmare to buy for and it was in Rome and I'm pretty unlikely to be back there this year I bought it - it's a lovely little clock. I keep having to resist giving it to him as he's really going to love it!!

purrpurr · 31/08/2013 22:09

Loving the co-op here, they gave me a cracking job, then a promotion, even though I'm a bit crap. And they're all soft and nice and up on Issues and Important Stuff so I always felt like preening when I worked for them. Aww. I did work in a food store for a day and nearly died though.

Another vote for Christmas over summer. I do jeans, jumpers, cardigans and knitted dresses with tights very well indeed. I love hot chocolate, blankets and snuggling. Summery dresses, endless salads, sweaty people, red lobster people, drunk red lobster people, being offered endless glasses of bloody Pimms... Ghastly.

kali110 · 31/08/2013 23:57

I dont mind. I like shopping early to spread it out, rather than spending a huge amount in one go. That way i have plenty of money for after christmas sales!

Jolleigh · 01/09/2013 00:32

I work for major food retailer's supply chain (won't say which as it's a bit too revealing) and this is a rife practice among all of them, though it does stick out more in Co-op as they're smaller.

It irritates me too, but the fact is, I see the sales figures on these things every year and they sell very well even in August...people want to spread the cost of Christmas. If it wasn't selling, they wouldn't waste the shelf space.

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 01/09/2013 00:36

I was Shock at this in the co-op just the other day.

Why can't people just save up for Christmas? Why do they have to buy it now? The dc's haven't even gone back to school yet. We're still enjoying summer, thanks very much.

SouthernComforts · 01/09/2013 00:40

Arf @ solesource

nonameslefttouse · 01/09/2013 00:46

Went for dd birthday cards today and half the shop was covered in Xmas cards, wrapping paper, bags etc

NicknameIncomplete · 01/09/2013 07:48

How can u buy christmas presents for everyone early?

My dd changes her mind a hundred times of what she would like for christmas. Its impossible to buy months in advance.

ColaConkie · 01/09/2013 09:36

I finished my shopping this week for xmas. It feels really good to have got it all done.

PumpkinPie2013 · 01/09/2013 10:14
