Dh has come in & put the clean, dried washing back in the machine because he didnt think to ask if it had been done!!! He's now gone off in a strop & sent me a text saying I should apologise for getting annoyed at him!! This has to be one of the stupidest arguments we've ever had & apparently I'm being unreasonable for getting annoyed Blush

Thank you, can't help with your situation but you just saved me from a pointless argument by reminding me to put out my washing.

Have you read the thread about husbands being considered another child? Hmm

Backtobedlam · 30/08/2013 08:09

Not argument worthy but things like this really annoy me...DH is forever putting things in the freezer I have got out to defrost, or unloading the dishwasher when its still dirty. I just grit my teeth and keep repeating, 'he's trying to help, he's trying to help'!

MrsMinkBernardLundy · 30/08/2013 08:14

To all those saying they're trying to help, are they though, really? Or are they doing the classic teenager trick of doing a job badly so you stop asking and do it yourself?

Sounds like they need more, much more practise to me. Grin

My husband does all the washing in our house because he doesn't like the way I do it.

He treats it as an art form, arranging the wet washing on the racks with immaculate precision.

I find it quite annoying but now I suppose I must realise he is a paragon!

Count yourselves lucky - my DH wouldn't even know where the washing machine is. He leaves his dirty boxers/shirts/socks/sportkit on the floor and lets the washing fairy magic them back in his drawers all clean and ironed. Mind you, he works long hours and is happy to pay for a housekeeper (??is that an excuse??)

karatekimmi · 30/08/2013 08:25

The other day my DH restocked the dishwasher with all the clean plates and stuff I had just taken out. How can you not tell that plates are clean!!

pianodoodle · 30/08/2013 08:28

Your right mojo. But now he's still not talking to me which I think is taking it too far

I'll say! I hate the whole "not speaking" thing in grown ups it is ridiculous.

Have to disagree with the idea that "at least he's trying to help etc..." but maybe I'm just mean and harsh!

IMO a busy household doesn't have time for one of the adults to mess things up and then be "humoured" for it. It isn't endearing - I like order Grin
