to not understand why anyone would pay full price RRPs for clothes these days

I can't remember the last time I paid full price for an item of clothing.

I have some good stuff from brands like Whistles, Reiss, Musto, French Connection, Hobbs, LK Bennett and loads more, all of it from Ebay, TKMaxx or picked up in the sales at a fraction of the normal RRP selling price.

Does anyone actually buy full priced clothes from high street shops these days?

Because I like to think if we all didn't expect to pay £1 for an item of clothing it could be made in the UK?

Made here = job creation = more people in work = better spending power = more jobs = better UK.

Also less delivery miles + better just in time ordering = less wastage = happy environment.

But then it's nice in my dream world there are ponies Grin

Agree. Nothing is that special anymore. Everything has a copy if not a "shelf life" or a copy.
I don't think anything high street is worth full price. My nearest outlet has amazing stuff (all current) for a fraction of the price and not the dregs at all. I think if you can't find something you like in the sales these days you really don't think about money.
The more expensive too the better the sale.I have a cashmere jumper (black) for £2.50 in the M&S outlet and many Harrods bargins including a Missoni bikini for £4.

Well, somebody has to buy things new so that others can buy them second hand Wink

I've dropped into several local charity shops recently, unfortunately it's mostly styles I'm not really old enough for!! Plus it's not as cheap as I'd hoped(although I did get SEVEN series' of 30 Rock on DVD for £17 which I was really pleased at)

We have a TKmax nearby but I've honestly never seen anything I like. I know it's all labels, but I'm not too bothered where something has come from as long as it looks nice and fits well!

I've also looked at eBay but the few things I've liked have always had about 7 bids on already with 3 days to go. Plus the cost of p&p makes it seem quite expensive for me.

I would get the kids clothes from there but the cost seems to bring it up to the same as what I would spend in George at Asda. Yes, eBay stuff would be Boden or something as opposed to Asda, but I'm actually a huge fan of kids clothing at Asda, it washes really well and lasts for DD2, and at least I have a huge choice and can get them right then in the shop, and can return them if I ever need to (haven't needed to so far mind!)

And lastly, fit is important to me. I'm an hourglass which is a difficult shape to dress. Jeans that fit my hips are likely to gape at the waist. Tops that fit my waist are often to tight across the bust. So going into a shop and being able to try things on is essential!

I pay full price. I can't stand tkmaxx and only buy vintage stuff from eBay (shabby chic stuff not clothes) I don't like wearing 3 seasons ago clothes so I will happily pay full price!

Yes I buy full price.
My size is never in the sale.
I work a minimum 52 hour week running my own business and I'm a single mum time is very short. My last purchase I had 20minutes to get a black dress and jacket suit. No time to search for vouchers, just time to go to the shop that is mostly likely to fit me.
