My DD loves this film and... So do I Grin.

AIBU to pick her up and twirl her about during the film while singing "dance magic dance" while she breaks her heart laughing :)

All together now.. You remind me of the babe, what' babe? The babe with the power. Grin

Nothing unreasonable about that! It's a great film.

I always thought it was 'slap that baby, make him pay', which is even worse :-D

Valdeeves · 25/08/2013 23:24

I love it too - it's a classic and he is so brilliant in it - and Jennifer Connelly too. They don't make films like that anymore.

Babybunny88 · 25/08/2013 23:26

Boredninja- hahahaha! I can just hear the PC brigade kicking up a storm Grin

Catinabox- there's always something to learn isn't there :)

I think I might have to make DS watch it again this week

YourMaNoBraBackOfMyCar · 26/08/2013 02:06

We love it too! Ds cried when Ludo was tied upside down and being hit with sticks the first time we watched it together. I once used my mums fave red lippy to draw arrows on the paving stones at my grandmas house.
(So i could find my way back to the castle/potting shed) She was not happy. I also vowed my baby would be Toby/Tobyetta when i grew up.

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 26/08/2013 02:17

Tobyetta Grin

MyBaby1day · 26/08/2013 04:58

YES!!, classic film and infact I've been giving it to people for gifts very recently!!. Have a copy on my chair as I type this!. But to your question, oh yes, he was BRILLIANT!!, I also LOVE LOVE the baby-Toby!!, oh he's just too cute! Smile. I remember the 1st time I saw it I was glued to my seat!! Grin. But I really love puppets a lot too.

MyBaby1day · 26/08/2013 05:01

Oh and btw, Toby now has a baby boy of his own, he;s names Sebastian!!.

MyBaby1day · 26/08/2013 05:01

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 26/08/2013 08:19

YANBU - nothing more needs to be said! Grin

gaggiagirl · 26/08/2013 08:28

I have the special edition DVD which I might just make DD watch today.
David bowies leggings eh? Phwooooaaaaaar!

MrsDavidBowie · 26/08/2013 08:32

Well I just had to post here due to my name. Grin

Dh is very glad you all enjoyed the film, and his crotch.

cjdamoo · 26/08/2013 08:37

Its the best kids film EVER.
I have digitised the characters so I could use my emmby machine and DD has The worm Ludo and Sir didymus on various t shirts and Ludo On her cloth nappy along with "smells bad"

As a kid with the other kids on the street we would ALWAYS play labyrinth. As an adult Ludo sits On my bed. My own kids know the film word for word.

TheCountessOlenska · 26/08/2013 08:39

Oh we all love it chez Olenska - DD aged 3 ADORES the whole thing, baby DS gets bounced around to the songs (and has many a stripy babygrow), I get to look at David's tights obvs, and me and DH like to quote lines in a comedy David Bowie voice a la Flight of the Concordes Grin

daisychain01 · 26/08/2013 08:56

Need to consult with MrsDavidBowie before I can possibly comment Grin

MrsDavidBowie · 26/08/2013 09:08

Have you all watched the Valentines Day video?
No crotches, but still hot.

daisychain01 · 26/08/2013 09:11

Sorry MrsDB massive x-post there, I thought I was going to have to trawl around for you all over MN, thank goodness you were here all along Grin

MrsDavidBowie · 26/08/2013 09:24

Here David is, so am I Grin
i am playing The Next Day as I sit here in my jimmies, cup of tea in hand.

I have my DB cut out paper dolls to dress later, and my Iman voodoo doll to attack.

MrsDavidBowie · 26/08/2013 10:10

where not here

Sparklymommy · 26/08/2013 10:18

Love this film!

Phwoah! Plastic!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 26/08/2013 12:36

Love it!
My DB and I will reel out lines from the movie constantly much to the annoyance of our parents. We're now in our 30s
We've even been known to sit up in to the wee hours with a couple of bottles of wine watching it.

I've tried to find a Toby romper suit for DS for when he's a little bigger (he's 5mo) but have so far failed.
If anyone can post a link to a site where I can get one I would be eternally grateful! :)

FridaKarlov · 26/08/2013 13:54

My favourite film!

I'm going as Jareth for Halloween this year. I've got a red stripey onesie for my baby to go as Toby.

MyBaby1day · 28/08/2013 04:43

Hoggle!! Grin

FreshLeticia · 28/08/2013 07:54
