I love my children. They are 4 & 7.

We have had a great summer. 5 weeks. At home. I haven't worked all holiday.

DH seems to think as I'm 'doing nothing' all summer I can do everything regards bathtime etc as 'he's been at work all day'.

I can't take it any more. The constant noise, the climbing on me, the chicken impressions, the squabbling.

I know I should be grateful & I'll miss this when they are older but Jesus Christ!

Aaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh

5 weeks? Sap. Try 9 weeks and counting, and then complain!

Mine are also 4 and 7 and I love the holidays, and haven't worked at all either.....

BUT, Ds1 says or sings the same thing over and over and over again (today it was 'You're a rebel pebble' to his brother, WTF!) until I am ready to kill him.

Ds2 wants me to play Playmobil knights all the time, or watch him in an imaginary jousting tournament, especially when I am trying to do something else, like put the shopping away.

So yes, I feel your pain. And Dh is working overtime ALL weekend. I am sloping off on Monday for a spa day with my sister, and I shan't feel the remotest bit guilty, because although I work full time the rest of the time (teaching) I haven't actually had a single day off this summer. Pah!

I've had enough. They need to go back to school. I'm skint and bored. As much as I love them. I'm bored.

And dh is off next week. So our last week is going to mostly be him whinging and telling them off every time they move. Perhaps I can go somewhere and leave them to it.

They'd never forgive me. Him for leaving him with them, and them for leaving them with him. Grin

somerset we're inland Andalucia, has been 40° to 42° this week and we have no air con. No trips back to the UK Sad although we did get to the beach for a bit. Also made the mistake of attempting to potty train DD, who it turns out isn't ready. Have just put her back in nappies. DS bored at being in but it's too hot to go out and too hot to sleep. A couple of nights ago was 31° at midnight.

Ds is 3° infantil so once he's back it's only one stupid morning and then the usual 9-2. DD at nursery in the mornings from 2nd Sept.
