To think pampers make enough money and should stop ripping parents off by reducing the number of nappies per box!

As the title says. We bulk buy and 3 years ago there was I believe 144 size 3 baby dry nappies in a mega box. The asda baby event that started today has mega boxes with only 104 nappies. Just over a year ago, the mega boxes of size 5's had 96 nappies in them, today they are selling boxes with 74 in them. I am sick of them reducing the numbers as if we are all stupid mugs who won't notice. Same goes for the wipes, used to be 64 wipes per pack, 12 packs per box. Now 56 wipes per pack, so that's 8 wipes less per pack x12 packs =96 wipes less per box, that's a pack and a half of missing wipes per box!

Guess its either reduce the number of nappies or raise the cost of the box. All companies have been affected by fuel prices, cheaper competitors, Pampers are no different. In fact now Huggies have gone they have less competition so prices will probably go up as well as quantity going down. Wink

Same rules apply to chocolate bars it seems. Sorry, I do think you're being a bit U. Buy own brand if you want to spend less. Or go cloth. It's the way things are.

YABU.

You could apply your logic, in deciding they're ripping you off, to pretty much anything a supermarket sells.

They're running a business in a free market.

Vote with your feet by buying something else!

i used own brand nappies for all my kids and was very lucky to have very little nappy rash, the big companies exploit parents and prey on their fears that they are some how letting their baby down if they do not buy the expensive brands.
