to still feel shocked at the two grown women fighting at a theme park today?

I'm on holiday in Somerset, it was my DD 6th birthday today. She chose Crealy Park for her birthday day out.

We had a great day and decided to leave the log flume until last for obvious reasons. Queued for 50 minutes just about to get on and two grown women had a fight in front of all the kids and families Sad They didn't even know each other.

They were swearing, kicking, slapping and pulling each others hair.

No idea why but who does that at a kids place Angry my daughter was so upset as were lots of other people.

An off duty policeman stepped in and got rid. But they just disappeared, I just hope the police caught up with them.

I'm a stewer and its really bugged me that people think this is ok to do. Angry

Pat on the back to the policeman though because they weren't going to stop.

I'll get over it I suppose!

So today we went to Puxton Park and I was disappointed there wasn't a fight! Wink

'tis just adult chavs, is all it is! Nothing you can do about it unfortunately, but yes - it is hideous. Sadly their kids will quite likely grow up to be also adult chavs. Nasty circle of life :(

My friend and I had our eyes on stalks as we watched a woman being carried, kicking and screaming, out of the open air pool at Haven Holiday park recently. It took 4 of them to drag her out.

It's just so unnecessary regardless of gender, but the women tend to have little kids around them when they boot off which makes it even more of a sorry spectacle.

I too have witnessed the 'turkey rage' Grin - and the brandy butter rage and the sprouts rage. Infact, it's mostly rage on Christmas eve for those people who have left all their shopping until the last minute.

Its pretty funny too, considering it's most definetly NOT the type of establishment where adults raise their voices at each, let alone outright fight, at any other time of the year.

As for the ladies fighting in the ride queue, am not surprised, theme parks should have bouncers. You spend an extortionate amount to get in, have to queue for long periods in hot weather, with consistent loud repetitive noises/flashy lights and only sugary fat-laden snacks for sustainance. Add tired and whingey kids in sugar rush mode and tired and whingey adults in 'i've been ripped off mode and I'm acually surprised anyone makes it out without scrapping.

Mumzy · 21/08/2013 19:56

bling what on earth were you two scrapping about?

BlingBang · 22/08/2013 01:01

Oh, she just playfully slapped my face fairly lightly, so I just playfully slapped hers back a little harder and so on...

DanicaJones · 22/08/2013 01:16

I would be annoyed if my children had to witness that too, although i suppose it is the fighter's children who i should really be concerned for.

DanicaJones · 22/08/2013 01:17

fighters' children

unlucky83 · 22/08/2013 01:38

Tescos, Acre Lane, Brixton approx 15 yrs ago had POLICE (like 10 of them) at the doors when it was closing at 5pm ish Christmas Eve...
apparently the year before it had really kicked off when Tesco's staff wouldn't let people in because they were closed ...
Nothing like the season of goodwill is there?

DanicaJones · 22/08/2013 01:38

ha ha Bling. My sister and I used to have fights (not in public though! ) Grin We still remember having a fight in the front room and me trying to run away but my legs getting caught in some chair legs. I think we started laughing even though we were mid fight!

DanicaJones · 22/08/2013 01:42

Funny that the people only realised they'd better get some Christmas shopping in at 5pm on Christmas Eve unlucky

Monty27 · 22/08/2013 01:42

Just disgraceful on every level.

unlucky83 · 22/08/2013 01:53

Have to admit the only reason I knew that was that I just made it in there in time -
I guess I did have some kind of excuse..I worked at a restaurant nearby and we had a last minute panic (overwhipped some cream) Smile - little bit daunting though....also IIRC they didn't have any/enough anyway and we just had to make do ...

BlingBang · 22/08/2013 01:54

It was very out of character, we are usually very ladylike.

internationallove985 · 22/08/2013 02:04

I'm curious as to what they were fighting over, my instincts tell me it was over kids fighting which is ridiculous. Kids are kids they fall out and make it. It's just a part of growing up.
There were 2 women a few years ago fighting in my street because their D.C's had fell out, and literally 5 minutes late the kids were playing together like nothing had happened. I mean don't get me wrong it certainly made my Sunday afternoon more exiting. Well if people are going to aire their dirty laundry in public then rightly or wrongly I will watch. xxx

internationallove985 · 22/08/2013 02:05

Sorry make it should be make up. xx
