Saw them at a reunion concert a couple of years ago, they introduced them, one by one...Simon le Bon, funny one with loads of make up then John Taylor...an thousand 40'year old women screamed the house down...including me. Then saw him on the screen, sob, he was so much better in my memory. Of my teenage crushes only Jonny Depp has truly stood the ppphhwwwarr test over the years.

it makes me feel old. Though not as old as when I realised some of the mums in my daughter's year school had only just been born when the previous royal wedding (Chas & Di). Still adore Duran Duran - they're amazing live & the last album was excellent (though the one before that is best ignored). Personally I've always preferred Simon (& Andy's book is more interesting).

I love, love, loved John Taylor when I was 14.

I once sent in a picture I'd drawn of him into Swap Shop. Duran Duran were coming on and I hoped John would hold up my picture and say how wonderful it was and that he wanted to marry the artist

He didn't. Twas the most disappointing day of my life, I've still not got over the rejectionSad
