When DD was a newborn I used to sleep in the day and I would get irrationally angry if cold callers phoned or rang the doorbell Blush.

Hope you get back to sleep soon.

It is very annoying. I don't do shift work but if I ever decide to treat myself to an afternoon nap someone always rings. Only solution is to unplug landline, put mobile on silent and take batteries out of door bell.

Given up.

Choosing pippy name instead.

What's a pippy name?

KnappShappeyShipwright · 16/08/2013 16:20

I always unplug the landline and put my mobile to silent so it only rings for DH, my mum and the school. I don't cope well with the first night nap either, I reckon it's the stress of having to get a sleep so you don't get hallucinations at 5am.

Can you get try again later? I've found working nights over the summer holidays interesting, to put it mildly. Split sleep is marginally better than no sleep.
