Just had an invitation to a hen night. Ooooh I think, a night out and a chance to get dressed up. But then I read further on and it is going to be afternoon tea at a naice hotel in town. A hotel that is notorious for being crammed with families of a weekend (which is fine!) so there will be probable babies there etc. I am disappointed. I know, I know, not my hen night. But this is the FIFTH afternoon tea I have been on in about 6 months. Birthdays, hen nights etc all people want to do now is go for afternoon tea. Why?!

I've just had enough of it all tbh. Every fucker seems to be doing it. Every café offers afternoon tea now. This café in town charges £14.99 pp for afternoon tea. That's a pot of tea, sandwiches and scones. If it wasn't labelled up as afternoon tea, people would be decrying it as a rip-off.

I know, I'm a sourfaced mare.

I was at West Midland Safari park while someone was having their hen do there. Very odd.

Ah Laurie but Marmalade has form for cake hating, if I recall correctly, she once threatened to punch a lemon drizzle cake.

Get a little coke bottle, empty a bit out and fill with vodka. Little sips when you're out.:p

What kind of adult decides that they want to spend their hen weekend in a theme park?!

A tee total one?

My Dh had his stag do at Thorpe park

I'm going to a Mexican restaurant for mine, pitchers of Margaritas and good food, no L-plates or silly head gear allowed.

I've told it before so forgive me... My hen night was me, alone in a hotel room with a bottle of wine and a bag of kettle chips.

I would have liked afternoon tea! I may go and make a batch of scones now!

My school stops at 4pm for afternoon tea. It's very civilised and lovely (and free!). I love it.
