To wonder why people have twitter and FB accounts for their pets or toddlers??

I have a friend who has her own FB and twitter as well as one each for her dog, cat, unborn child and 2 year old.

I can semi understand the 2 year-old one if it was for family and filled with recent photos instead of constantly filling up her own feed. But I've had a friend request off her dog and cat. This was a couple of days ago. This morning I've woken up to a PM saying "said cat and dog are upset that I've not added them "

It's fun! I haven't got one for my cats but I am friends with quite a few cats on Facebook (and their owners!) - I think it's quite sweet! Sometimes it is done so that people can play games like FarmVille (using their pet as a neighbour etc). I don't know anyone who has a page for their child though. And it's harmless! One of my friends posts the naughty things her cat has done on the cat's page!

My friend set up an account for her cat.

She then listed me (and a handful of other friends) as the cat's aunt.

Errr... no, yer alright thanks.

My cats share their own page and have 10 times the number of followers I have on my own page Its a page of cat (and other animal) jokes and its good fun :)

Catbook Grin. It used to be a sort of app on FB when it first came out (no idea if it's still on there) and I admit I made profiles for both of my cats and they had FB friends and everything. I don't have one for my DD, so am not completely bonkers - just a bit Grin
