They are giggling and chattering, and going to be vile tomorrow, and I need to go to sleep now.

Can I drug them or something?

I think my mum, and my friends mums were more scary than you lot! We used to stay up later then normal, but had to have lights out and no noise than could heard out of the room and def got told off a couple of times if we still weren't asleep later!

If it's any consolation, both my DCs were at sleepovers last night, enabling me and DH to get a lovely night's sleepGrin.

I like to take the "two can play at that game" approach....after a sleepless night of constantly yo-yoing through & telling them to be quiet, I like to get up at 7am, frogmarch into the bedroom, throw open the curtains while yelling "GOOOOOD MORNIIIING! And what a LOVELY one it is!!" then get the hoover on the go, making sure I get that Dyson riiight under their beds..HA! Grin
Yes I know its cruel but its also fun.

We have a rule: I don't care what time they go to sleep or even if they do, BUT wake me up and there is BIG trouble!

I tell all their friends this and they all seem to respect it and I rarely get woken up! Grin

HoneyDragon · 11/08/2013 18:54

Yup. My rule is once it hits midnight shut up and stay put Grin

Tbf, it's my mates dcs and they are all very good, but 10yo's can chat for England.
