Thread titles about shit friends, crazy SILs, etc. always give me a brief flicker of apprehension before I open them just in case it's someone I know IRL posting about me.

Naturally I believe myself to be the most reasonable person on earth (ahem) so it'll never really happen, but that fear is still there...

YANBU.

Me too! I'm very reasonable and polite (of course) - and I don't think any of my RL friends are on here (but who knows?). But, yes, I do have that flicker of apprehension sometimes .......!

ViviPru · 09/08/2013 16:45

I've wondered this. I can behave incredibly unreasonably on occasion but am always meticulous in ensuring that under no circumstances could my actions be described as U. One of these days this will bite me on the arse I'm sure....

Just think of all the aibu's that you don't open though? Maybe one of those was about you!

Silverlace · 09/08/2013 16:49

When out with the DC I often think "Did I say that too loudly, will I be accused of loud parenting?", "I hope no-one from Mumsnet noticed that I gave DS a Fruit Shoot", "Did anyone hear me yell like a fishwife at DS as he was about to run into the road?"

Waaaah! Oh no, now I have to scour through the entire back catalogue of AIBU to check. Confused

I'm always a bit nervous when i open a mil thread. I love my dil dearly, and do my best to follow all the mumsnet rules but I do break some of them.

AKissIsNotAContract · 09/08/2013 16:58

Yeah I've been worrying every time I open a wedding AIBU that the bridezilla will be me.

OnTheBottomWithAWomensWeekly · 09/08/2013 17:06

he he he. Grin

meganorks · 09/08/2013 17:06

Yep ready for one next year when the wedding invites go out. Considering adding to the bottom 'if you think IABU please email or give me a call'. That way they know I know....

NoComet · 09/08/2013 17:07

I did worry the day I swore very loadly at DD2 across a carpark and heads turned that Id come on here and see.

'AIBU to think that horrible mothers should not yell "Stop fucking about and get a move on" at adorably cute little 9 year olds.

I don't make a habit of this in public or private, but DD2 went through a phase of insisting the world revolved around her and it was beyond annoying.

FruOla · 09/08/2013 17:07

I sincerely hope that you're not Gluezilla, AKiss? Grin

AKissIsNotAContract · 09/08/2013 17:11

I wouldn't show my face round here if I was :)

Thepowerof3 · 09/08/2013 17:14

If someone did start an AIBU about that StarBallBunny at least you know they get a roasting for being judgey

Naebother · 09/08/2013 17:16

Naebother, Pom Bears Bear are not an MN 'no-no' - they're just an MN in-joke, you're safe!

superbagpuss · 09/08/2013 18:02

Lweji · 09/08/2013 18:08

Did you notice anyone giggling?
You might not be the subject of a AIBU, but you might identify a fellow MNetter. :)

Naebother · 09/08/2013 20:48

Relieved to hear that. So what's the in joke ?

Bear. Just worked out how to do that Smile
