To think "baby cages" look quite dangerous?

If you ever go to Derriford hospital Plymouth, In the corridor outside NICU, they have photos of the old city hospital,

there are metal cage like cots, with babies and toddlers in them all arranged on the roof of the old hospital, they use to put them out first thing in the morning and bring them in at night, parents were not allowed to visit,

some of the pictures make you wonder if whatever had landed them in hospital would be made a lot worse.

Plymouth is right on the sea and always has a chill breeze blowing.

Reminds me of when Michael Jackson dangled his baby out the window. The baby in that photo looks really peed off
