To think that this is not cricket..

My husband decided 1 day before our 2 week holiday that 3 days after our return we should have a BBQ.. I found this out AFTER he had put it all over facebook. Fair enough I said, but since no discussion was had about it, he could do all of the organising. One immediate issue which I brought to his attention was thus, WE DO NOT OWN A SODDING BARBECUE. Just a small but pretty important thing he overlooked.

Sooo yesterday he asked me to reserve one at Argos. Fair enough I thought, hes at work. I did it and agreed to his suggestion of an early morning trip to the town centre to pick it up... along with the food, charcoal and generally all of the stuff for the barbecue since he has organised NOTHING except asking 12 people to come over!

Anyway, after a night of being restless with stonking hayfever I got nudged awake this morning (barbecue day) at 7am with my Husband informing me that MY dog needed to go out for a wee (she is only my dog early in the morning or when shes been naughty!) so I got up cus he clearly wasn't gonna and here I have been since 7 am on a bloody Saturday.

Our "early" jaunt into town is looking less likely as he is still snoring so I am asking, would it be unreasonable to go upstairs and junk punch him and then blame my foul mood on him and a lack of rest!?

wriggletto · 27/07/2013 14:11

It's not cricket, not. But clearly he doesn't think he'll be 'in' until about half an hour after everyone else has arrived, and is still mentally in the pavilion. [insert bad googly joke here]

OrangeLily · 27/07/2013 14:25

Take time for yourself and when he gets up just say 'no' and let him do it.
