flour on most of shopping so treated anything that was covered in flour as damaged - as I had to rinse off and clean up the mess. They have given me £5 off next shop but still feel a bit disgruntled?! what do you think??

am i being slow? on ocado account there is a refund option. you click the items that were damaged etc and they refund you. how much easier do they need to make it for us?

I am not flaming you for having a moan- it is a colossal pain in the arse. But i just dont really get what the issue is...they gave you a fiver, and i assume you claimed through refund process for things that were left unable to be used?

Bags of flour are so easy to puncture any little hole and that's it, covered in the stuff. It happens.

ILoveAFullFridge · 26/07/2013 14:00

The trouble with blaming the packers is that the packers no longer exist for online shops like Ocado with centralised warehouses. It's all automated, and there are - apparently - systems to ensure that heavy stuff goes in first, bottles are upright, etc, but clearly they don't always function well. There are human overseers who are supposed to ensure the bottles are upright, but clearly they don't always function well, either.

ocado have offered me a bottle of wine when i let them know that they had missed out the fishfingers in our last order - excellent customer service in my opinion!

SoupDragon · 26/07/2013 14:31

I also think that the drivers rearrange my shopping sometimes - if I have a smallish order, I think they sort it into minimal bags to carry them to my door in one go with no crates.

spudpudding · 26/07/2013 14:32

thanks, can use the £5 to buy more flour, at least I can afford to buy some now - however will poss have to pay £5 to have it delivered!!

Hope you all have a super weekend :-)

Cleaning flour of everything would be a bloody nightmare - because you can't wipe it off with a damp cloth, as everything would end up covered in glue. And brushing it off, you end up with flour going everywhere. I would want more than a fiver for that - I would have rejected the whole shop and told them to make it all up again and redeliver.

Nb. I may be rather stroppy today, because it is hot and muggy, and I haven't slept well for some days now.

However, bottom line is that you have my utmost sympathy, and I will happily join you on an ocado-lynching party if that would help - despite the fact that I am pea green jealous that ocado deliver to you.

I'm not sure how to post it here, but I have a very funny video on my ipad of ddog1 trying to get rid of a mouthful of flour, having stolen a bag containing about a kilo of it off the work top, and taken it into the garden to eat it.

Her muzzle is snow white, as is her tongue, and she is desperately trying to work out why her mouth is full of glue!! Grin

blimey Waitrose's PR isn't what it used to be Grin

ElliotLovesGrub · 14/10/2014 18:17

Ha! Is he/she dredging up all the Waitrose threads? Exciting stuff.

PiperIsOrange · 14/10/2014 18:24

This is why I prefer to take my child with asd into dreaded tesco, because I want to see what I am buying and make sure it's packed properly.

merrymouse · 14/10/2014 18:33

Is it Waitrose or Ocado or both?

merrymouse · 14/10/2014 18:34

… that are the target of this vendetta.

Do you have nothing better to do? Tut, tut. Sackable offence this business.

Gosh! This was a zombie thread. Why pick this one rather than start a new one? And what a very interesting user name...

Sorry hardas hahahahahhahhahha I used to give my delivery driver the customary sandwich and a blowjob but you've put me right off now. He'll be very disappointed.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 14/10/2014 19:19

Goodness. I give mine a pleasant smile and a kind word. Obviously I've underestimated what's required. Hmm

FloatingPorpoise · 14/10/2014 20:44

I hear Tesco aren't doing too well. Do you think they have hired a new PR manager on the cheap who has misunderstood the term social media?
