HELP! Locked out of car

Posted here for the traffic - please help!

Locked out of car -07 Suzuki Grand Vitara - remote keys won't work - actual key won't work.

Any genius car people with an idea?

and in it for any mechanics/electrical folk with solution/s.

My Ford does that sometimes - I get "Key not detected" when I try to start the car. With the key right there, next to me. I often shout "It's bloody there! I can see it, why can't you?"

Well this, combined with finding tab ends from exotic white cigs outside my front door in the mornings is freaking me out now

This happened to me. DH got the bus to me, DD and the stranded car with the flat battery, put his key in and it opened. I tried his key and it didn't open. Turns out you had to make a quarter turn in the wrong direction before opening as normal.

So, the next day I thought I'd have a go with my key. No results, even with the quarter turn. Got DH to have a go with my key. He got straight in. Turns out my key was stiffer than his. What with that and not knowing the stupid key-turning trick I didn't stand a chance!
