Pooing - is 30 mins + too long?

Is it normal in your opinion to spend upwards of half an hour pooing on the loo? Dh and his whole ro

Whole family do this and they think its normal. They take reading material in with them and spend at least 30 mins. Dh says he has a poo, waits and reads a bit, then some more comes, and it can happen 4 or 5 times.

I just go in the loo, poo, then come out.

Is spending ages for it all to come out normal?

30mins is way too long but I do sometimes take a magazine in as I have to consciously relax to poo otherwise ill just pee, wipe and rush off. Of I am very busy/stressed/interrupted ill just forget to take time to poo and will end up constipated.

I get impacted sometimes and have to do the loo-paper-over-the-finger routine. I STILL only take 5 mins or less. What is the point in going to the bathroom if you don't feel you need to 'go' yet?
