I genuinely genuinely do not understand, and do not judge either, why some families name all their children with the same first letter, please can someone nicely illuminate me? Is it just personal preference

My brother and I both have the same initial, we share it with both our parents and our maternal grandparents and now both my DC also have the same initial. It wasn't deliberate, honest, I just liked the names!

So that when they go to school, you only need to buy one set of name labels, and the hand-me-downs all have the right name on them.

'K. Froggie'

My DS and DD1 start with the same letter, but they are 9 years apart, and DD1's name is Gaelic, no-one spells it right, and often it is the first letter they get wrong. She is going to hate me for that when she gets older.

I knew a family who had 8 children, all of their names ended in -mmy or -nny.

We purposefully didn't choose a same name letter for dc2 as thought it would be twee even though ny favourite girls name for no 2 had same initial so I had to let it go. Dc1 is a girl and dc2 a boy with a different initial so if we have another I reckon we could now go back to the name I wanted.
