Partner came home, hot sweaty and jumped in the shower. Got dirty clothes and put in washing machine.

Took them out of washing machine AND PUT THEM IN THE TUMBLE DRYER !!!!!

It is the hottest day of the year, I am cooking and Asda are about to do a home delivery. AIBU ? (I think not!)

Assuming that you have the option of drying your washing outside, YANBU. Of course, if you don't, then the answer would be different

Unless you don't have outside space for a washing line I don't understand why you'd use the tumble dryer in this weather. Sun and air are free, electricity is not!

I am still a bit that your DH comes home and puts his clothes in the washing machine. Mine would deffo leave his all over tge floor for me to pick up!

I would love to have the option of hanging washing outside but we live in a 'penthouse' (read: overpriced top floor flat) with no outside space (although pay factor fees).

Drop the damp clothes at his feet and deliver a swift flick to his testicles :-)

I don't have a tumble drier and our washing dries very well indoors on an airer most of the year and particularly now, though I use a washing line too.

I don't have a whirligig - just a yard with chickens.

Have used the tumble dryer in the outhouse for 7 years. Only occasionally drape a non tumbler dress over a chair.

I would be quite happy if we all had our own individual carbon footprint.

YOu mean he just picked up his shirt, trousers and underwear and se the washer off with those in it ? .
Now that I do find wasteful.
I still tumble dry when it's hot - I don't like crunchy towels, I haven't got hours to peg out individual socks and pants, and I don't do ironing.
More gets hung out, but not everything.

Wow yanbu! But i have inherited my mothers freakery of loving a full washing line :) we are both the same and if we wake up and see sunshine, bed get stripped immediately! Things dont feel right when they have been in the dryer...

My tumble dryer is ornamental in this weather. What's he thinking? It costs a bloody fortune to tumble dry clothes, and at the moment clothes are drying in a very short time on the line.
