It has been suggested that they put the
two amounts together and split it equally.
Thé problèm with this is Thérè is à reason
For this as people like thé ôther staff member

We have set amounts for collections (£3 for birthdays, £5 for leaving, maternity, weddings, etc) which saves this issue arising.
Although if it is someone I am particularly close to or like a lot, I would contribute to the collections and buy a small gift to give them when not in a group situation.
Always worked ok so far

As "the boss" in my office, I would probably feel obliged to put in extra to the smaller collection to help make up the difference. Could be awkward otherwise.

If it has been done as seperate collections you can't take money out of one persons collection to give to another. It should have been done as one collection for A&B leaving and then split if you wanted them to have the same.

Gift cards are the way to go.

Keep totally separate.

Buzzard bird - not just you Grin

Definitely keep it seperate.

I'd be annoyed if they were combined.

DDs teacher got a much better leaving present than the TA off me, because the TA was a pain in the arse.
