Check first there's no one in your office with a fish allergy. Just the smell of fish can set off a sympathetic reaction in me. My colleagues have learnt this through bitter experience.

i got told off at work by colleagues for eating a tin of mackerel at my desk even though I have my own office. Apparently the smell drifted down the corridor

Well, today I've given in and gone back to cheese (and onion...).
