To canvas or not to canvas (wedding picture!)

I'm not into loads of pictures around the house - nothing against people who do, it's just not me

DH is of the same mind-set - we have a few of our DC but that's it really

Since we got married a few years ago, I've been thinking about getting our favourite wedding photo put on canvas and hung in an alcove in the living room

I'm thinking of getting it as a surprise but I'm not sure if DH will cringe at this ... or if he'll like it

Thinking a max of 20" wide

So, mumsnet jury ... is it cheesy or should I just go for it?

We have an amazing photo that DH took in Iceland on canvas, which I think looks great. But there is no way in hell I would put my wedding photo on canvas. One A4 shot is all I can bear on display from our wedding, and even that makes me a bit cringy...

what is the point of wedding photos if you dont display them?

esspiacly thoughs who pay out for photographers.. id begrudge paying that prive just to have them ina book gathering dust,

surely its more normal to have at least one photo of your wedding on display. canvas or not.

Was this of the meat or the ice cream section (harmless and rather obvious joke, see Mitch Benn for a much cleverer version)

I think its a lovely idea, its not like you have a collage of wedding photos all over the walls. One photo will be fine and i'm sure visitors will love seeing it (and your children), i know i love looking at peoples wedding photos up on their walls. They are a great talking point and just make me smile not cringe .
