draped over my garden fence. Terraced property but my fence for which I have recently spent a lot of money on.

Would I be unreasonable to poke them back over the fence to their garden? No one asked if they could hang their washing over my property and although it may sound trivial I'm not sure I want to see my neighbours smalls - or not so smalls - decorating my fence.

Dh just suggested melting a chocolate bar and smearing chocolate on the inside of the pants, in a skidmark formation .

I would just leave them there.

Maybe they thought that having their pants on a fence for half an hour would do no harm whatsoever and no reasonable person would object.

Pair and roll the socks, neatly fold the pants knock on door with a sweet smile and explain that if it happens again they won't be returned without a £10 laundry surcharge. :)

Can't you just 'reframe' them as bunting?
