To consider having hair extensions at 31?

Am I? I was very set on it but the dm and dh are trying to steer me away from it. Will I look like I'm trying to be 18?

I know, it's really not a huge issue and is ridiculously shallow and vain and yes I do have bigger problems but this one is the only one I'd like opinions on.

they are costly, after a few weeks you can always tell so if you have the money (and time) to go to the hairdressers often fine if not get a good cut and colour

and since having mine (about 10 years ago for a few months) my hair is not as thick quite a few people i know have the same problems my friend has to have them now as she has little bald patches :(

I have them and i've just turned 40. I have gone a couple of inches longer and much, much thicker and I love them. The first set lasted 5 months and I've just had them taken out and more put in.

The best bit is so many people just commented on how nice my hair looked, they are so natural looking no-one knows they are extensions. (Well, until I tell them, which I do as I would feel awful taking the credit and lying!)
