and wanting to reduce the number of hours that I work.

The thing is I have been working 43 hour weeks in a demanding job. 8:30 start and 2 evenings a week. From Autumn this will increase by 4 hours a week!
DP started a new job last autumn and now earns only 2k less than me annually, but he is working a 32 hour week in a less demanding job.

We bought a new home together last summer. Before he got his new job I was earning more and so paying more towards the bills, in fact I have been paying £500 more towards household bills p/m and I still am as I discovered he needed to clear a large overdraft (which I only found out about after we bought the house) but I have also been careful with my spending and put money into our savings account which has paid for various renovations, He has put in maybe 5%. Then to top it all his ds wants to go on a school trip to the cost of £2+k :-( I have a ds too who I love but if he asked me the same I just couldn't justify it. I feel I am funding this too, in a roundabout way.

I am tired, I have back pain which is work related, I feel I have little time to myself as I still do 50% of the house chores. I want to reduce my workload to 33 hours by leaving a job (I have 2 jobs) which means less money.

Am I being unreasonable?

My DS2's school sent round a letter about a trip for that sort of cost - we just laughed and threw it in the bin. It's a ridiculous idea.

No. I work proper part time as work makes my back ache. Drop the second job and your dp needs to contribute equally. If you keep on like this you may end up unwell.
