Stemming from the recent Which article regarding the Nania Trio Plus and the Kiddicare Maxi SP.

It makes me a bit Confused Hmm when people spend hundreds on first birthday presents and parties but only £25 on a car seat. Surely if you can afford a car you can afford a car seat?

Most of the erf seats don't get recommended either because the ff position isnt as good as other ff seats, side impact, or ease of installation/removal of covers for washing, ease of getting child into seat. Which aren't just a safety tester, they test the best all-around seat. Ifuyou're only interested in the safety results then you can look that up on their site/magazine separately.

A shocking review. We didn't buy that because I couldn't possibly see how one seat could be designed to be totally safe for a child from birth all the way up to facing forwards using the adult seat belt. And indeed, it isn't.

We didn't spend a lot, but bought a specific infant carrier. It has served us well, and in time will be replaced with a rear facing one for older children until he's 3/4yo. The one we have now is checked regularly.
