It's really annoying me. Why is it that some people just have to find something to moan about all. the. time!!??

If a flyer comes through the door it's studied for a reason to be angry, every restaurant menu offers an opportunity to complain, every single little noise from next door is scowled at. Everything is sexist, ageist, discriminatory. Everything is watched, assessed and then hated.

Honestly there seem to be more and more people like this around me. I'm all for complaining and shouting the odds when it's necessary, when it matters but some people just can't seem to be happy.

Isn't life hard enough without going in search of things to be angry/upset about??

I want to have a wee bitch about these people who make everything a pita, but worry that I would be pushing the limits of irony to complain about people complaining.

I understand what you mean SirBoob, and it is very hard living under the cloud. Took me years to train myself to look on the bright side, forcing the bad thoughts out. But it does get easier, I found some daffodils yesterday (mid-winter here) and it was enough to make my week.

Makes it so hard when other people start whinging about things that in the grand scheme of things don't mean diddly. Although suddenly becoming the most optimistic person in the world is fun, throws them off their game, then when they ask just say, "oh sorry I thought this was a role play, you being pessimism and I am optimism here to balance your negativity out, by the way have you seen how nice it is out today?" I do it to DP all the time.

Oh forgot to mention the old Monty Python classic, where I actually give them something to complain about by singing "always look on the bright side of life" loudly and out of tune.
