I'm at my casual job tonight, in a hotel. I always work really bloody hard when i am on shift and have never slacked off, ever. Tonight there is really nothing to do, everything is clean, the only thing i could do is set up a function room for next tuesday
My FIL died last week, we just moved house this weekend and last night Dh and i called it quits at brnging in stuff at 2.30am. After stripping, transporting and resetting our fish tank which weighs 1/3 ton empty. Then DH decided to have a shower. We ended up with water pouring everywhere and calling out an emergency plumber at 3am. We went to bed at 4am (first night in new house) and were up again at 6.30 to carry on. Ive been lugging, packing, unpacking and cleaning basically pretty much solidly since saturday. I am exhausted. The move was very sudden so could not request leave today as it has to be in 1 month in advace

wibu to set this function up quickly and then fall asleep in the office ;)

Why did you only get 2 and a half hours sleep last night knowing you had work tonight? Would it not have made sense for you to sleep longer last night and have an afternoon nap prior to your shift?
Unpacking can wait.
I guess it depends how long you intend to sleep for, and what your actual job is. Though I guess sleeping on the job in any role is frowned upon, it may be ok for you to nap on your break.

Sorry for your loss x

Because we only had the van until this afternoon. The stuff had to be moved

If you're sure you won't get caught, I would do it.

The receptionist and i are the only ones here. No guests for dinner so no chef in. Apart from the function i have nithing to do and no energy to try and find something which is what i would normally do.

Think i might phone head office and go home

I know about fish, I was not meaning you should have left them out over night. I was meaning I would have carried on till all boxes were out of the van then got a solid few hours sleep.
But that's just me.
I would ring the office and go home if that is an option.

I usually manage fine on 4 hours sleep which is what i was expecting to have. The plumbing emergency is what put the kibosh on it !

How long is your break? Could you not get some sleep on that?

We have baby rabbits here at the moment. Might spend an hour playing with feeding them
