neighbours toking in their garden

I don't have any beef with adults having a spliff but the smell of cannabis is wafting pretty strongly into my garden and even into my house on these still summer evenings. I have a young child and it just pisses me off. Would I be unreasonable to ask them to smoke in their house instead?

Have a word, just not after they've been toking otherwise they'll forget you've been round.

Ask them really nicely, say you used to have a puff yourself in your younger days but nowadays it gives you a headache, would they possibly mind to smoke it well away from house or indoors.

You can only ask and as long as you do it in a really really sweet way they shouldnt mind.

Neighbours can be difficult things and its really best to try and always get on as neighbour disputes can make your life hell. This weather wont last forever so maybe you could just accept that they are doing it in their own garden. They may get really arsey with you if you comment or ask them to move it and they might even move it closer to your fence. Also if you did contact the police then that would really cause bad feeling and bad relations. Are you sure its weed anyway?

Could you Shut your windows and open them back up in a couple of mins? The smell doesn't last forever. I'd be concerned if they were smoking herb right beside your child not outside in their own yard. I don't see it as a big deal. Calling the police is extreme! It's just a little weed. What do I know... Im from Canada... we are always baked! Lol just kidding :)

Don't worry it'll be raining again soon so thy won't be out there as much ;-P
