So please hobbycraft wait until September at least before sending me e-mails about Christmas craft.

We have Easter chocolates in our local shops Shock That's nearly a year away!

A charity shop near us had a big Christmas themed window display a few weeks ago. The sign said "On June 25th Christmas is only 6 months away so it is never too early to start planning"

Bloody is.

I expect they had a load of Christmas tat cluttering up the back of the shop and were hoping to shift some of it.

Oh we've already had the Christmas conversation in this house.

In fairness, DD (9) is a Christmas birthday so she has 12 months to.wait for both celebrations.

I told her that the C word is banned until 1st Nov! Grin

we'll be seeing friends in august who we will exchange xmas gifts with - save a fortune on postage - I don't see the harm in spreading it out over the year, not just for financial reasons but because I would rather find something just lovely by accident and think "perfect for X" than be in a mad panic trying to find all the right things in the middle of December

and I bought all our xmas cards in the jan sales too for 15p a box of 20 or 24!

BabyDubsEverywhere · 08/07/2013 20:04

Its only 169 days away!

Well, there was a huge stack of mince pies in my local supermarket this week. Very cheap, and just in time for Christmas in July, a quaint Australian custom. We'll meet friends at the local RSL and have Christmas dinner, crackers, etc. No gifts or cards, but Santa will turn up for the children.
