My house is cold! It sits in the shade all day. We're lucky to have a ray of light through the window to warm the place, so DS goes to bed in the same pajamas all year round, under a duvet... If he wriggles out, he's chilly when I find him sprawled in the morning. Quite handy for heatwaves, my icebox-house.

Loulybelle · 07/07/2013 21:33

DD is 5, and will probably sleep in just knickers and a t shirt, i will be in just knickers, too hot and my sunburned back dont like clothes.

tobytoes · 07/07/2013 21:34

My 1 year old has been naked most of the day. I have put her in in vest and usual sleep suit as the temp tends to drop at night but she has no blankets.

1Veryhungrycaterpillar · 07/07/2013 21:34

Mine stripped off, don't see how that would make me lazy??

Loulybelle · 07/07/2013 21:47

Infact, i still have my patio door wide open.

LST · 07/07/2013 21:48

20 month old Ds is in just a nappy, with the window open and just a sheet. I have just been in to him spread eagled across the bed with noting covering him soaking wet. literally soaked. I have had to move him away from the wet patch so he didn't get a chill. I'm close to giving him a ice filled hot water bottle for him to cuddle Grin

hahaha at lazy.. Was that a serious comment? Hmm

NotYoMomma · 07/07/2013 21:48

dd is in a nappy

MalcolmTuckersMum · 07/07/2013 21:51

Evil? Seriously? That's some majorly fucked up thinking you've got going on there OP.

1Veryhungrycaterpillar · 07/07/2013 21:51

A baby over heating is so serious there was a set of baby twins who died because their mum wrapped them up to much and their bedroom was stifling, maybe she worried to much about what she was 'supposed' to do instead of using common sense

SoTiredAgain · 07/07/2013 21:54

Mine refuses to wear just vest and pants - he's in his warm cosy winter pjs but that's just him. But he doesn't like a duvet.

Sensible, not evil.

Your not evil.. App to my 9 yr, I'm being evil as I won't let him have a fan on all night ( stupid thing keeps me up all night vibrating through the floor!) if I can sleep without 1 he can to!

CloudsAndTrees · 07/07/2013 22:05

My dc only wear pyjama bottoms in bed most nights, but we have a warm house.

Mehrida · 07/07/2013 22:08

My 13m DS also sleeping in just a nappy. It's like a sauna here.

I'm another who doesn't get how you're evil..?

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 07/07/2013 22:12

DD1 often strips down in the night - I find her naked most mornings even in the dead of winter! DD2 is naked tonight, her choice. I will probably be naked too although DH will try to take it as an invitation but no jeffing way is that happening in this heat

schooldidi · 07/07/2013 22:13

Dd2 is 3 and wanted her fleecy Peppa pig onsie on tonight. I did not allow that and we compromised on shorts and t shirt under a duvet (which I removed as soon as she was asleep)

Hashtagwhatever · 07/07/2013 22:15

Not evil nor lazy. Its Farkin hot!!.

Hissy · 07/07/2013 22:19

My monkey's in long sleeved top/trousers.

I know.

In my défense, he's allergic to his own sweat, gets red raw heat rash unless there's fabric to absorb it.

We lived in egypt for years, so way hotter than this.

Window open, fan on full tilt, water bottle, he's fine! :)

Cluffyflump · 07/07/2013 22:21

YANBU, unless by 'night clothes' you mean bed sheets/duvet covers?

Jengnr · 07/07/2013 22:21

My baby is just in his vest. No grow bag either.

tethersend · 07/07/2013 22:22

There was a troll on here once who used to post exclusively about children sleeping naked, encouraging others to describe what their children (weren't) wearing at night.

Just saying- you wouldn't want to be associated with them, would you OP?

Runwayqueen · 07/07/2013 22:23

Dd (3.1) has gone to bed in a pull up and a vest. I wanted to swap her duvet for a sheet but she was having none of that.

Evil? Definitely not! Wise move if they are comfortable

ENormaSnob · 07/07/2013 22:25

Not sure if youre evil but you're definitely weird.

formicadinosaur · 07/07/2013 22:27

Normal bedware here or just a light sheet.

sweetestcup · 07/07/2013 22:28

Seriously? You think you may be EVIL for sending your kids to bed on a hot night without pjs??
