People 6 doors down on the opposite side of the road had a BBQ this evening, well it's 20 to 1 and they're still going strong!

I probably wouldn't mind but one of the guests has a very annoying cackle laugh!

Come to think of it today has been full of noisy gobshites! Kids next door- if their mother isn't howling like a banshee, they're screaming or playing a game that involves screaming!

Time of the month? Oh I think so!

Now breathe

I've learnt to shut the door or window before I start yelling at my kids. Today one left home so I had to yell out for him to come back.

I can see why people divorce over their kids now.

JustCallMeBaldrick · 07/07/2013 10:55

The family in the semi we're attached to seem to think that as long as they've told us they're going to have a party, it doesn't matter how late or loud it goes on Angry
It's getting to the point now that we're seriously considering moving...

LineRunner · 07/07/2013 11:15

Oh fucking hell, the Bellowing Man is back out, talking either to himself or into a mobile phone.

He keeps repeating himself. He has shouted, 'It'll need changing,' and 'It's got a stand what comes with it,' about 50 times.

It's like an amnesiac Brian Blessed on crack trying to learn his lines.

GobTheGoblin · 07/07/2013 12:11

One of my neighbours a few doors down had a party last Monday.

They started playing music outside at 11am (not overly loud) but then turned it up at 6pm, turned it down slightly at 11pm when they lit the bonfire and were still outside talking loudly to each other at 12.30am when I phoned the noise abatement people (we could still hear the thump of the music in our house with the windows shut). It actually went quiet at 2am, and they put the bonfire out!

GobTheGoblin · 07/07/2013 12:13

Oh forgot to say it's been very quiet from the noisy neighbours this week so maybe calling the noise abatement people has had some effect.

jamdonut · 07/07/2013 12:20

YANBU
I am surrounded by people who have no thought for others. Children 2 doors up outside at 8am shouting at each other in the garden. Then the ones 2 doors down start wailing at each other. Next door ,who I have the most problem have just got up Hmm and now there is the usual yelling from the bottom of the garden to their mum who is indoors, and the sound of their trampoline being jumped on. Grrr . I expect next door will have their loud-mouth mates round soon, tormenting each other's children.

ChubbyKitty · 07/07/2013 12:35

My neighbour has a friend who likes to drive up, park on the driveway, open his windows, turn his europop up full blast, then get out the car and go into the house.

Then he turns it off when he leaves.

Why? Just why?Hmm

jamdonut · 07/07/2013 13:54

That screams attention-seeking ,ChubbyKitty! "Look at me I'm so important and my taste in music is so amazing that everyone else needs to know about it" [Hmm]

jamdonut · 07/07/2013 13:55
Hmm
JuliaScurr · 07/07/2013 14:06

Am I right in thinking that any party proposing effective control of noise would do pretty well in elections?

ChubbyKitty · 07/07/2013 14:09

Oh my god yes.

These people make unnecessary noise at least 4 nights a week for a long way into the night.

I had a few friends round for drinks the other night and the people across the road through tomatoes at my house even though they were having a barbecue with small kids and were up shouting way later than I had to retire to bed after too much wine

ChubbyKitty · 07/07/2013 14:10

*threw...

Lj8893 · 07/07/2013 14:21

We live in a little lane which isn't on the road, and many people cut through it and seem to always stop right outside our bedroom window to have a chat! (We are ground floor).

Doesn't affect me during the day obviously, but at times between 11pm and 7am when I'm in bed it drives me mad!!!

A few weeks ago there was a few drunk people out there reenacting a harry potter scene. Loudly.

YouTheCat · 07/07/2013 14:41

Get a hose. They'll soon stop.

RibenaFiend · 07/07/2013 14:44

Sorry Lj, in know it's probably not that funny for you but "Harry Potter scene" made me laugh out loud!

All I had last night were some older teenage kids "quietly" smoking pot in our flat's communal gardens. (Hidden from the main road) the sight of me waving and smiling at them obviously struck terror into their very being and I have never seen kids scarpering away in such an amusing fashion!!

orangeandemons · 07/07/2013 14:45

Students often skateboard down our road about 300am.

That's fun

Lj8893 · 07/07/2013 14:46

At the time I was having a giggle to myself about it as thankfully I was still awake!

Ray81 · 07/07/2013 14:47

I think you're all miserable Wink

Our neighbours had a party until 3 am last night and then have the nerve to moan about our children making noise, our birds singing (native birds), me hoovering. On the surface we do all get on well but I get fed up with them moaning about our noise but its ok for them to make lots of noise !!
The moans are all disguised as well placed 'jokes' WTF they are really picky but currently sat in back garden with music on and I heard them say 'shut up' because of the bird its just singing Ffs .

dingit · 07/07/2013 14:52

Well nob- rot next door has gone out, so teenaged daughter is now taking her turn to make some noise. Smile

NorbertDentressangle · 07/07/2013 14:54

Our neighbour that spends Fri-Sun all year round doing DIY and building projects on the house and garden has taken the weekend off polluting our air with the noise of power tools, cement mixers etc and has replaced it with loud shit music Angry.

This is accompanied by his wife (who has a voice and accent like nails down a blackboard) having to screech that bit louder to nag/talk to him.

YouTheCat · 07/07/2013 14:54

My neighbours are out. Grin

YouTheCat · 07/07/2013 17:14

Neighbours are back Sad

foslady · 07/07/2013 20:35

We have now got 2 donkeys living behind us. Along with the other assorted animals she has crammed in in too smaller place. Have you ever heard a donkey bellow at full blast? Woman who moved in there competes with them (I never realised the name Steve had a 'Y' in it until she came to live with him....'STYYYYYYVE')

Apparently there's supposed to be an alpaca joining them (and the goats, ponies, pigs, ducks etc etc)........HmmAngry
