What time is it unreasonable to clearly hear the music from a do?

I'm working tomorrow. 13 hour shift. I have to get up at 6.

There is a venue quite a way off playing a live band for a do of some sort.

It is warm.

I have my bedroom window open.

I can hear every word loudly.

Is it unreasonable to phone them?

I prefer the axe solution.

I think you'd still hear a smoke alarm through earplugs.

I doubt it's relevant in this case but residents can bring a review of the licence just as easily as a responsible authority. And if there is nuisance caused whilst a TEN is in force they would be unlikely to get another.

If I was in the op shoes I too would go for the axe.

Sorry you are being disturbed ayc. Now you know what it feels like when the nursing staff are screeching and hooting over their social lives at the nursing station at 2am Grin Hmm

Venue licences are for inside the building, with the doors closed. If the doors are open and the sound escaping they are in breach of the licence and you should call the council.
Festival and event licences are different although both have to adhere to the noise level stated for the performances.

Same thing here tonight. All windows closed and it's still too loud. I've heard other people tell them to turn it down.

Sounds like someone's parents are away...
