AIBU to fill the fridge water dispenser with vodka?

I received my brand new fridge freezer today (DS1 broke the last one) and it has a chilled water dispenser. Now I don't like chilled water to the extent that I usually have a glass of water left sitting around I get to room temperature before I drink it. So I was wondering what else I could use the chilled water dispenser for. Vodka? Ice tea? Coke?

Chablis.

myroomisatip · 01/07/2013 20:20

Brilliant idea :) White wine for me!

ParadiseChick · 01/07/2013 20:20

Yanbu

freddiefrog · 01/07/2013 20:22

I can't believe that this has never occurred to me before

TheDetective · 01/07/2013 20:31

It would have to be Malibu here! Fill your glass with coke, and top up with malibu!

Alternatively, to save on the washing up, you just fill your mouth with coke, and stick your head under the dispenser. Gargle, et voila

McNewPants2013 · 01/07/2013 20:33

prosecco

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 01/07/2013 20:33

I would go White wine, I think. Yanbu.

DameFanny · 01/07/2013 20:35

Chablis wins it for me

MartyrStewart · 01/07/2013 20:35

That is a Genius idea. Then fill the freezer with Lime wedges :)

TwllBach · 01/07/2013 20:37

Ohh, I used to do this as a teen with those cheap mini water tank dispensers you can buy!

Tip - Don't use anything but a non-sticky spirit and nothing fizzy or else it will ruin it and it will end up manky.

Vodka or gin would actually be your best bet tbh.

TheSitChewAceChien · 01/07/2013 20:38

Erm, could someone please link to one of these new fangled fridges please.
I've only ever seen the ones you need to plumb in.

Malibu would be a fanbloodytactic idea. And now I want one.

TheSitChewAceChien · 01/07/2013 20:40

*tastic.
Bloody iPad-may be put towards new fridge!

mrsjay · 01/07/2013 20:41

oh good god i need to get myself a vodka dispenser Grin op can your children reach it if not just do it Grin

Steffanoid · 01/07/2013 20:41

we filled my friends mums with beer when we were about 15 while she was away, she usually had orange juice in it, suffice to say we didn't clean it before or after, orange carling is gross and vice versa Blush

Elizadoesdolittle · 01/07/2013 20:42

stunt You are a genius. Why oh why have I never thought of this. YANBU at all.

glamourousgranny42 · 01/07/2013 20:43

Vodka is best kept in the freezer. Lush!

MyThumbsHaveGoneWeird · 01/07/2013 20:45

I've always thought of filling ours with wine for a party. If you leave water in there too long it tastes sort of "fridgey" so I don't think you'd want anything that would take you more than 2 days to drink. Depends how much vodka you can drink in two days Grin

Loulybelle · 01/07/2013 20:47

Water left starts tasting a bit stale.

FeijoaVodkaStat · 01/07/2013 20:47

Yes to Vodka and when can I come over?

MojitoMagnet · 01/07/2013 20:50

I think I'd go for Pinot Grigio if it was my choice - with vodka, G&T etc I think the tinkle of the ice in the glass is an important part of the process, but you can't put an ice cube in wine.

complexnumber · 01/07/2013 20:52

I can't believe that this has never occurred to me before

Really? It has featured very near the top of our 'when I win the lottery' list for years. Smile

TheMagicKeyCanFuckOff · 01/07/2013 21:06

That's amazing...

I like vodka. I live nearby you too (I don't know where you live, but if you live in Australia, I'd happily take the plane over).

TheDetective · 01/07/2013 21:10

Party at Stunts it is then?!

mrsjay If the children can reach it - good. They can serve the drinks! ;)

Caoilainn · 01/07/2013 21:14

Omg! The possibilities are endless! I used to have one of these, maybe 7 years and two fridges ago.

Had to fill mine with water as DS and I both love chilled drinks and use ice cubes all year round.

Why oh why I didn't fill it with white wine (vodka usually in freezer) for parties I will never know, what a waste!!
