To be suspecting shill bidding?

Bid on something on eBay yesterday, missed out to a higher bidder.

Have been offered a second chance offer as the seller says 'they haven't responded to invoice or paid'

I emailed her and said I'd love to buy it but that she needed to wait as they've got 4 days to pay/respond - a nice email saying I didn't want her to get into trouble with eBay.

Now thinking on it, it's a bit sus isn't it Hmm

Surely she'd know you have to give more than 20 hours to pay?

Yeah, bit dodgy perhaps.

Yeah, I'd definitely be suspicious.

I had this a few weeks ago. Someone bid and won my item - then asked me in the final minutes for measurements. Within a few minutes she emailed saying it wasn't suitable, refusing to pay. So I filed a non-paying bidder thingy and offered it to the next bidder.
It might not be suspicious. It could be similar to this.

I had this last week I was outbid at the last minute.A few hours later I was told item had been re-entered and I could bid again. However I had found an identical item for less from someone else.

I check what percentage of the suspicious bidder's transactions have been with that seller - I know it doesn't prove anything, but if they regularly bid on each other's stuff, I bow out and leave them to it.
