Hi

We live in a small terraced house. Sincecwe bought our house 7 years ago a van has been parked outside our house, well not exactly outside, like half of van outside our house.

Huge dirty old white van however fully taxed etc.

This van is all I see when I seat in my living room.

Now I know he is legally allowed to park there and I do not own the road...

But am I being unreasonable to just feel fed up with this view after 7 years?

That would seriously annoy me.

What's parked outside his house?

There must be something you can do. You might have to be devious though.

Well I just went on that site and checked a couple of old cars and I'm still standing! It's fine.

PM me the reg and I'll do it if you don't want to. It doesn't give any personal details, just the make and model of the vehicle.

ClartyCarol · 28/06/2013 00:12

Checked the regs of a couple of my old cars, that should be.

I'd put nets up and forget about it. I lived in a bit of a dodgy area once, and put up some nice sheer muslin fabric as nets. Makes the world of difference.

I feel your pain jaabaar .Our neighbour (who moved in after us) has a mahoosive dirty white van. They also have as collection of trailers and other vehicles etc so use the whole of their front garden to park including directly adjacent to our window.

We have a lovely big bay window and because of the angle it seems to just fill the whole view with dirty white van. They have more parking on the other side but choose not to use it for the van fuckers .

Sometimes they also park their caravan there. Blocks out the view and light completely.

Next door to them also sold a while back, and the new owners have...a huge dirty white van. They are retired pub owners, their front garden is completely filled with crap they can't fit in the house/shed but won't get rid of.

He has lost his license on medical grounds therefore cannot drive and no one else ever uses the van. We have a private access driveway that we all share leading to each house/individual drive and his house sits just past the exit of it actually on the 'proper' road. But because they have another car parked on the road, as his garden/drive is full of crap, he parks the van at the end of our shared driveway, therefore restricting our access and being a complete fucking eyesore. It's taxed etc so it's not going anywhere soon...why wouldn't he just get rid?

Ooh, that was rather a cathartic vent Grin

Foot phobic

That is exactly as it is for me. Bay window with van in view. If I could move sofa to other wall I could have a glimpse past van but I can't as fireplace is on other wall....
