my DT got build a bear vouchers for their birthday so we want along and got them a bear each

while I was there I saw a my little pony build a bear and saw a sully - from monsters inc - being advertised

I'm 32 and not at all girlie - would I be unreasonable to get me one for my bedroom? I have the money so DT wouldn't go without?
my birthday is 6 months away so a long time to wait for a present

You're 32, and you want a Build a Bear, and you don't reckon you're girlie?
What are you then?
I really don't get it.

atavistic
I don't like pink, shopping or clothes

I do like motorbikes and heavy rock music and dress like I'm from the 90's

however my little pony was one of the few things I have fond memories of as a child, however I agree as an adult I should be doing better things with my cash, like isa s and washing machines

About 8 years ago I was strolling around the Milton Keynes shopping centre when I saw a boy of around 7 years old with his brand new build a bear dressed as Spiderman. He was making Spiderbear do a secret crawl along a bench and since that day I have wanted to get one.

My DS is now 4 years old and any day now we will live my dream!!

I have looked at build a dino online and hey! Why not have this option here? My Ds would love this. Looks like a new thing in the states too, there are only a few stores listed.

I'm just very surprised that lots of you, adult, women not only like the look of pretty teddies (some are very appealing...for my children) but actually have or will soon have their own teddy. Not just any teddy either but a very pricey one at that.

I've been to buildabear. I took DD, we spent a shit load on a rabbit with clothes. Would I want for myself? Hell no. What for, what would I do with it? What are you all planning on doing with them?

Of course, if it rocks your socks, then you should buy yourself one. You're an adult, it's your money, it's your choice what you spend it on. I honestly, sincerely, hope you enjoy it.

It's just...Mumsnet = Nest of Vipers. Except apparently each viper has a teddy they take to beddy! Grin

From my current position I can see a couple of Wall-E toys on the bookshelf, some Lord of The Rings Lego, 3 Lightsabers, Vaders helmet and an original At-At. I'm 39 years old. My kids are 15 and 20.

I LOVE star wars, I LOVE Lord of The Rings. I don't plan on playing with any of the bits and pieces I have but I get huge enjoyment out of owning them and looking at them.

My next purchase will very likely be the little Fireman Minion from Despicable Me 2 because his yelling of "BEEEE DOOOOOW" when Gru torches the desk is hilarious and whenever I see that minion it makes me smile. Life is extremely shit here at the moment and if a small, cheap toy makes me happy then I'm grabbing it with both hands and enjoying the moments escape from reality.

I bloody love Build A Bear. It's my birthday in 3 weeks and I'm seriously contemplating going there to spend my birthday money. I've taken each of the kids on their birthdays this year. It's my turn, dammit!

I wanna dress a teddy in a tutu!

Do it. It is such fun. And if you are a Dr Who fan, you can ask to have two hearts in your bear!

I love teddy bears Smile. Not silly at all in my head.
Met someone once through work. Lovely composed 40ish lady . She was having radiotherapy. Always carried a back pack with her books /crossword /crochet in to pass the time while waiting for her treatment
Once in treatment room she brought out a battered kindly teddy and he stayed on her tummy while her treatment was carried out .
Scary and lonely time having cancer treatment isnt it ?
That scuffed dog eared bear gave her so much comfort . I learnt a lot .
