And just turned a tap on and taken a net curtain down?!
Got back from work and bathroom tap was on and net curtain in hall had been taken down and carefully placed on nearby chest, nothing was taken and no sign of forced entry!

Totally puzzled by this as no one had legitimately been in the house all day so what explanation could there be???

Do you rent?

I came back to our flat once and knew the landlord had been in it as he had set the alarm. I never used the alarm as it was over sensitive. I moved out fairly rapidly but our landlords were dire in general.

Ahha! So we now know there's a cat in the building!! Makes it suddenly a lot more likely!! They can turn on taps- maybe a cat buddy just showed her how!

My tap turned itself on the other night when we were all in bed. Full force aswell - not a trickle type!

One of my cats turned on the hot tap (little bar type) in the utility room during the night. I could hear a funny noise from the bedroom but thought it was the washing machine that I'd set on the timer. When I got up & had a shower the water was tepid. When I went downstairs the utility room walls were pouring condensation - it was like a sauna - the tap was gushing full on & the presumably guilty cat (the one that quite likes water & does fiddle with the taps a bit) was sitting on the draining board watching the water going down the plughole. Thank goodness the plug wasn't in!
Shock

Sarah Millican has a cat that turns the taps on. She put a camera on his collar to catch him doing it.

Is it a very old house?
Was it built on an old Indian burial ground?

Was it built on an old plumbers' burial ground?

My cat turns on the taps to drink; drives me potty because he doesn't turn them off when he's finished, of course.
