To be a little annoyed with my husband?

We are heading out on holiday in a few weeks and stopping to visit his sister and her family on our way through London to the US.

He was just speaking to her on the phone and said 'Well, he (meaning our son, who is 4, same age as her son) mostly eats sweets for breakfast'.

WHAT?!?! No he doesn't! He mostly eats toast, maybe some ham, a bit of cheese, some fruit and then he's allowed to have a small sweet.

Yes, yes, not the best idea, but he's got SN and sometimes the promise of that sweet is the only thing that gets something more solid in his tummy.

I wonder what else he told her before I came into the room...

That's the kind of thing my husband would blurt out. If we're visiting his family I often have to jump in with a NO WE DON'T, or NO OUR CHIlDREN DON'T.

We don't usually drink during the week, he will bring up one of the few times we shared a bottle of wine on a Wednesday, and randomly make out that we're alcoholics. Or we let our children sit on the computer all day, despite taking them on a 15 mile bike ride that day. That our children are terribly picky eaters, it goes on and on.

Back in 1986 I didn't want to go out with my now DH. As is the wont with teenage boys he told his mother that I was a whore.

they still treat me like a whore. I've always been a bit straight laced. I don't go out and dress a bit 'covered'. His mother used to encourage me to go out in the hope I would run away with someone else. I've never given any hint by behaviour that I would do that.

Mud sticks, especially if they want to believe the mud. Just saying.
