Surely the most pfb thing ever or am I wrong?someone on fb asking if anywhere sells baby knees pads as there 10 month old stops when he gets to edge of rug or carpet?!? Only started crawling a week ago, is 10 months! I nearly choked on my tea! People are plain mad surely??

That is GENIUS Kaster - I'm pretty handy with a sewing machine, I'll see what I can whip up.

KobayashiMaru · 22/06/2013 10:15

babies don't have kneecaps, they don't need padding.

Teapot13 · 22/06/2013 10:26

DD1 had tights with heart-shaped pads on the knees -- might have been from M&S. I've seen them at the Gap, too.

RhondaJean · 22/06/2013 10:36

My DDs had some little trousers with quilted knees in them, I remember thinking they must be comfy to crawl in. Dd1 never crawled anyway...(born awkward Grin)

RhondaJean · 22/06/2013 10:38

And the rain mate wouldn't have helped with dd2 as she would fall asleep face first in her dinner! Grin

edwardsmum11 · 22/06/2013 10:40

They have half tights from bumgenius for this purpose. I really like them and used them with my son. Some ofthe real nappy sites sell them.

crashdoll · 22/06/2013 10:41

"I did attach dusters though to my DDs knees which a hair band so that she dusted our wooden floor as she went."

This is a great idea. You should patent it and go on Dragon's Den!

usualsuspect · 22/06/2013 10:43

Hahaha. Mine used to do a sort of hands and feet crawl on cold floors.we used to call it the spider crawl.

MamaChubbyLegs · 22/06/2013 10:50

My baby's knees just feel like knees...

Maybe I am squishing in the wrong place Envy

Idocrazythings · 22/06/2013 13:27

I bought some. They were crap. Wouldn't stay on DD hated wearing them. Never even bothered trying them on other children after the PFB!

amazingmumof6 · 22/06/2013 13:30

I saw them advertised years ago.
just idiotic.

babies knees are already padded.

amazingmumof6 · 22/06/2013 13:34

"kaster" for mess free feeding just use one of those cut out boards you take fun photos by the seaside

or feed them through the letter box!Grin

bishboschone · 22/06/2013 13:36

I wouldn't buy them but my ds has just turned 2 and is delayed so crawls super fast everywhere when not cruising . Every single pair of Jeans he wears are worn at the knees so maybe there is something to be said for them. However I will probably just buy new jeans !

MardyBra · 22/06/2013 13:40

one of these suits?

youmeatsix · 22/06/2013 13:44

i assumed they were to protect the knees of their trousers, not the actual baby Confused

We had a sisal carpet laid between DC1 and DC2. I wonder if that's why DC2 walked much earlier than DC1 ?

HerrenaHarridan · 22/06/2013 13:55

I use baby legwarmers for this purpose. If dd is going outside and wearing tights. It saves her wrecking her tights.

Or do you mean actual knee pads like for roller skating in?

wonderingsoul · 22/06/2013 14:06

no, coz im the kind of parent to put vasaline on babygates when mine started climbing over them whilst thinking

"that'll learn em"

disclaimer.. i didnt really do that.. just thought about it.

i do like the mop idea though.. could catch on.

kilmuir · 22/06/2013 14:12

Headbands are worse than knee pads............just

specialsubject · 22/06/2013 14:35

I remember a baby that had anti-gravity powers when placed on grass....

otherwise the whole concept is ridiculous. Never too early to learn that if it hurts, don't do it.
