Aibu knee pads for crawling baby?

Surely the most pfb thing ever or am I wrong?someone on fb asking if anywhere sells baby knees pads as there 10 month old stops when he gets to edge of rug or carpet?!? Only started crawling a week ago, is 10 months! I nearly choked on my tea! People are plain mad surely??

babies don't have kneecaps, they don't need padding.

DD1 had tights with heart-shaped pads on the knees -- might have been from M&S. I've seen them at the Gap, too.

My DDs had some little trousers with quilted knees in them, I remember thinking they must be comfy to crawl in. Dd1 never crawled anyway...(born awkward )

And the rain mate wouldn't have helped with dd2 as she would fall asleep face first in her dinner!

They have half tights from bumgenius for this purpose. I really like them and used them with my son. Some ofthe real nappy sites sell them.

Hahaha. Mine used to do a sort of hands and feet crawl on cold floors.we used to call it the spider crawl.

My baby's knees just feel like knees...

I bought some. They were crap. Wouldn't stay on DD hated wearing them. Never even bothered trying them on other children after the PFB!

I wouldn't buy them but my ds has just turned 2 and is delayed so crawls super fast everywhere when not cruising . Every single pair of Jeans he wears are worn at the knees so maybe there is something to be said for them. However I will probably just buy new jeans !

We had a sisal carpet laid between DC1 and DC2. I wonder if that's why DC2 walked much earlier than DC1 ?

I use baby legwarmers for this purpose. If dd is going outside and wearing tights. It saves her wrecking her tights.

no, coz im the kind of parent to put vasaline on babygates when mine started climbing over them whilst thinking

I remember a baby that had anti-gravity powers when placed on grass....

otherwise the whole concept is ridiculous. Never too early to learn that if it hurts, don't do it.
