to expect adults to wash their hands after using public toilets, esp when dressed in uniform!

I was in tescos lunchtime getting a sandwich and used their loo.
There was a queue as they were being cleaned, so gave me a few mins to people watch and look about. The woman behind me was in a local care company tunic top which I recognised as it had their logo on it. She was obviously in her work clothes and had no shopping or handbag with her.
We went into adjacent cubicles and came out at the same time. She just left the toilets making no effort to wash or sanitise her hands in any way. I saw her 5 mins later in the carp park driving off, presumably on her visits.

AIBU to think this is outrageous?
Should I complain to her care company employer?
Why don't adults wash their hands in public toilets?

Blimey.

You made a lot of assumptions there. Maybe she'd finished work for the day, was on her way home and got 'caught short' hence no bag or shopping. Maybe she had hand gel in the car and used that, as (rightly) she knows the door handles in public loos are pretty germy. Maybe she went into the cubicle to adjust her bra/tights/whatever and didn't actually go, but still used hand gel in her car.....

I can't believe you phoned her work about this. I agree handwashing is important, but so is being sure of your facts before you try to get someone into trouble.

I cannot believe you reported her OP. That is completely over the top.

Though in the toilets she may not have actually used it. Could have been in there for any number of reasons.

I don't wash my hands after I've had to readjust my tights for example.
