A car overtook me on a dangerous bend yesterday and then whizzed off down the road at top speed. As it overtook me I could see a 'Baby on Board' sticker on the back window Shock.

Presume it's only their 'baby on board' whose safety we need to show regard for, everyone else's is fair game. Hmm

AIBU to think that if you insist on displaying one of these stickers you should bloody show a bit of courtesy and consideration to other road users as well?

'I've seen cars with a 'Baby on Board' Sticker, a 'Little Princess on Board' sticker and a 'Toddler on Board' sticker all lined up on the back window'

I think the only useful thing this tells me is that the driver is unable to see out of the rear window
Seriously, dont restrict your vision with signs that dont help anyone, dont aid the emergency services and make you look like a total nobber

Saw one last week with

'Ex husband in boot' Grin

I've said this before but I want one that says 'if you hit my car whilst my children are in it I will kill you'.

Sums it up nicely I think.

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 13/06/2013 14:43

merrymouse you meant that isnt what they're for?

kungfupannda · 13/06/2013 16:46

I got stuck behind a "powered by fairy dust" car the other day.

Bloody hell, that fairy dust makes cars go slow.

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 13/06/2013 16:49

IMO, an above-average number of bad, selfish, dangerous drivers have Baby On Board stickers. Maybe it is just that you notice the sticker when some twat has just cut you up, but I'm not sure.

Maybe an above-average number of idiots favour car stickers of any kind

There is a women who lives down the road to me who has one of these stuck in the window of her living room, by the front door. It says 'Future Mrs Timberlake on board' & is obviously about her as she lives with her partner & 6 year old son, oh & her parrot that she often takes to the shops Shock

MrsGSR · 13/06/2013 22:04

My brother in law told me that 'baby on board' signs were original so paramedics would know to look for a car seat in accidents, which I think is kind of a good idea except I've never seen them removed when the baby isn't in the car. I'm still not a fan of them, and hate with a passion all variations!
It also drives me crazy when people drive appallingly when kids are in the car.

MrsGSR · 13/06/2013 22:08

Sorry, just read the rest of the thread and seen emergency services have already been mentioned, posted to soon!

Finding it so hard not to laugh and disturb DH in bed next to me at posts beginning with "You're a knobber because ........"

What an opening sentence Grin

BOB signs are for knobbers though. Fairy dust and all that shit belong in Room 101. Get of my arse when I drive and all will be fine.

I think that automotive engineers are wasting their time developing alternatives to petrol and diesel cars when there are already so many cars running on an environmentaly friendly fuel like fairy dust.

Where can I get some and how much is it a litre? Why is it that apprentice hairdressers appear to have a near monopoly on this fuel source?

I would ban all stickers. With the exception of the hilarious 'lower than my granny's tits' sticker applied to a boy racer car whose suspension had been ever so slightly lowered. I can only asume that said boy racer's granny was remarkably pert for her age.
