to have orgasms when I don't want them

I've namechanged for this and promise I'm not a wierdy troll.

I've never spoken to anyone about this before but am intrigued if it happens to others (too scared to google).

I have orgasms in odd situations. They always happen when I'm talking to people, either in person or on the phone.

The conversations are always really boring, not even remotely sexual or romantic, and with people who have very soft gentle voices. Doesn't matter if it's a man or woman.

I have no idea what this means or whether it is normal.

My partner does NOT have a soft gentle voice!

Anybody?

I read an article about this, years ago. If I remember rightly, it's a form of epilepsy? I'll go and google the book.

Back in a tick.

And yes, it's important you get to your GP - and it's nowt to be ashamed of.

Ah found it. The book is called 'Newton's madness: Tales of Clinical Neurology' and it was a chapter on a lady with the same phenomenon as you. It was controllable, I think.

Get thee to your GP! You must be exhausted!

You do need to go to the GP to rule out a brain tumour if this has come on suddenly.

There is also treatment for PSA if it is that.

I have ASMR, which is triggered by haircuts, or watching people fold laundry and other random things. But I can't imagine having an orgasm at random times. Talk to your GP. They won't bat an eyelid. They'd probably be quite interested.

I get this ASMR thing from having the bridge of my nose touched or stroked. It's why I can't wear sunglasses - I would be walking around in a permanent state of dreamlike euphoria! Never realised it was a real thing with a real name though. That other thread about it is very interesting too.

Not orgasm like in that there is never any activity down below though. OP I agree with others that you might want to seek a medical opinion.
